The Asian University for Women Support Foundation, based at Harvard Square in Cambridge, seeks undergraduate and graduate students who qualify for Federal Work Study to serve as interns during the school year and possibly in the following summer as well. The AUW Support Foundation is the principal sponsor and creator of Asia's first regional university for women. The University has already admitted students and is currently in the process of undertaking additional construction, curriculum planning, faculty recruitment and student recruitment and extensive fundraising.


Interns are needed in the following areas:


1. University Launch: Assist the academic leadership with the many tasks associated with opening a new university, including general office work, research, and writing.


2. Student assessment: Help research assessment and evaluation methods for student enrollment, especially from deprived communities.


3. Faculty recruitment: Assist the academic leadership with outreach on US campuses for junior faculty recruitment.


4. Fundraising: Several interns with exceptional research and writing skills are needed to help the fundraising group.


5. Campus construction: Students from the graduate school of design are needed to support the campus design and construction program.


6. Communications: Students are needed to support media relations and marketing.


7. For Japanese outreach: Students who are native Japanese speakers are needed to help prepare materials for outreach in Japan.
