Today’s scholarship is the 2012 American Legion Auxiliary Scholarship Program.   Sponsored by ALA, this scholarship program consists of four different scholarship opportunities for students.  The deadline for all of these scholarships is March, 1, 2012 so you still have some time to get started.

The first scholarship opportunity is the Children of Warriors National Presidents’ Scholarship which is for the children of members of the ALA.  This scholarship program will award scholarships to 15 students each year.  Scholarships are for undergraduate study and are worth between $2,500 and $1,500.  The scholarship application can be found here.

The next scholarship is for non-traditional students.  The aptly named Non-Traditional Student Scholarship awards one scholarship to a member of the American Legion, Auxiliary, or Sons of the American Legion.  The application for this scholarship can be downloaded from the ALA website.

The third scholarship opportunity is the Samsung American Legion Scholarship which awards $300,000 in scholarships to 100 students.  To be eligible, students must be participants in American Legion Boys State or ALA Girls State.  If you have participated in one of these programs check out the application.

The final scholarship program is the Spirit of Youth Scholarship Fund which awards three separate scholarships (two are worth $1,000 and one is worth $2,000).  The application for this is also available online
